ABOUT CLACKMANNAN DISTRICT BRASS BAND
A Quick Look
Clackmannan District Brass Band was formed in October 1991 as a result of the amalgamation of the Alva Town and Alloa Burgh bands. Both bands were short of players and close to extinction until talks between their respective committees resulted in their merger.

The band regularly perform locally at venues across the "Wee County" as well as travelling to St Andrews and the Highland Show each summer to put on a concert. The band is of course extremely busy over Christmas with one of the highlights of the year being the Christmas Concert at Alloa Town Hall.

Since 1991 the band has had a remarkable contesting success, representing Scotland at the National Championships on no fewer than three occasions and winning the Scottish Shield twice.
